Weld Procedures and Welder Qualifications

Baker Testing offers a full range of welding procedure and welder performance qualification services. Test coupons welded at field locations or our in-house welding facilities can be witnessed by Certified Welding Inspectors or by an AWS Certified Welding Educator. In-house machining, destructive, and non-destructive test capabilities provide rapid turn-around of test results and qualification reports to a wide variety of codes and specifications.

Turbine Inspection

Baker Testing can mobilize teams of experienced technicians for non-destructive inspection of power generation turbine components. Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Ultrasonic, and Radiographic inspections are available for both local and national inspection projects.

Power Generation Boiler and Piping Inspection

With more than 15 years of experience in support of power generation outage inspection projects, both national and international, Baker Testing can provide a wide range of services for scheduled and unscheduled shutdowns of any size or scope. Boiler Thickness Surveys, Gridless Erosion Corrosion Testing, Time-of Flight Diffraction and Automated Ultrasonic Evaluation of piping girth and seam welds, Fluorescent Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, and Radiographic inspections form the base of our multi-faceted outage inspection program. Teams of experienced, qualified technicians can be rapidly mobilized to support any project.

API 653 Inspection

Certified API 653 inspectors provide in-service and out-of-service inspection of above ground storage tanks. Inspections performed would include Visual, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Ultrasonic Thickness, Vacuum Box, Magnetic Flux Leakage, Out of Plane, and Edge Settlement Surveys as well as a complete suitability for service assessment.

Hardness Testing

Baker Testing offers Hardness Testing both in-house and in the field.

Training and Certification

Training courses and certification are available for most non-destructive inspection methods. Instructors with over 20 years of experience and ASNT Level III examiners can provide customized classroom and hands-on training for ASNT Level I and II certification in VT, MT, PT, and RT inspection methods.
